Our FeGene project’s latest findings have gained attention beyond the scientific community! The Cornell Chronicle published an article highlighting our research on iron metabolism and its implications for chronic disease risk in East Asian adults.

FeGene Project’s Breakthrough: Three Papers Published in AJCN with Editorial Comment!
After five years of work, our FeGene project, funded by NIH R01, has achieved another remarkable success! Three of our papers were published in a single issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and received an Editorial Comment.

YIUNAC winner Alexa Barad
Congratulations to our 5th year PhD student, Alexa Barad, for winning this year’s American Society for Nutrition’s Young Investigators Underrepresented in Nutrition (YIUNAC) award competition. Alexa presented some interesting results from her dissertation project investigating the genetics of iron homeostasis. Way to go, Alexa!
